Visit an Austrian GP’s office: «Meet a Doc»
Dear WONCA 2012-participants, dear colleagues,
We are happy to offer to you the opportunity of enjoying a professional exchange with a practicing GP when visiting a GP’s medical office. Austrian colleagues are already looking forward to welcoming you; please use this chance to make personal contacts!
Date: Thursday, July 5, 2012, afternoon
16.15 – 17.00
- Introductory lecture about the Austrian primary care system and on technical details of the «Meet a Doc»-programme (Austria Centre Vienna)
17.00
- small groups of up to five participants leave from the Austria Centre Vienna by taxi to GPs offices in the Vienna-area
17.30
- be welcomed by host-GP
- see the surgery and its facilities
- discuss the Austrian primary care framework-conditions with the host and the ther participants
- exchange with host and the other participants on your special clinical interest
- coffee and snacks will be served during the reception
End of visit between 18.30 and 19.00 (return to Centre of Vienna or to your hotel)
Costs: EUR 30.- (including taxi-transfer and refreshments offered during the visit)
Please register for «Meet a Doc» together with your congress-registration (see «Side events»).

Se ha ampliado el plazo de inscripción a las XVI Jornadas de Residentes de la semFYC que además este año incluye con la cuota de inscripción, la suscripción a la Revista AMFjoven hasta diciembre de 2012, con posibilidad de hacer los exámenes con carácter retroactivo para conseguir la acreditación.

Dear Members of Vasco Da Gama,
In May 2012 SemFYC organizes the National Congress of GP trainees and Young GPs with its exchange program. Ten international GP trainees or Young GPs are able to participate in our program from 7th till 12th of May.
The participants of the exchange will visit a Spanish GP practice during four days on the mornings, will participate in different activities at the afternoons including a tourist guide through the amazing city of Madrid and finally will be able to assist to our national congress on Friday and Saturday.
The Congress will be held in the Medical College of Madrid: C/ Santa Isabel 51.
The visitors are expected to arrive in Sunday 6th and will spend 6-7 nights, until Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th of May, at a Spanish GP trainees residence.
SemFYC will arrange the accommodation and conference fees but travel costs will be cover by the visitors.
As we do it before, in other Mini-Hippokrates programs, we would like to ask you to spread the information about this exchange and select your trainees or young GPs, who have not participated in this exchange before, by their motivation and collaboration with VdGM.
The deadline for submitting your selected candidates is 30th of April 2012.

Asignación de plazas MIR
Ya ha empezado el proceso de asignación de plazas MIR , que podéis seguir minuto a minuto en la web del Ministerio de Sanidad.
Desde semFYC se ha puesto en marcha esta semana una campaña en redes sociales, foros de elección de especialidad y prensa especializada para informar de las características de la especialidad y los motivos por los que ser médico de familia. Desde diversas federadas hace años que se realizan jornadas de Medicina de Familia para los estudiantes de medicina y también se empiezan a realizar charlas informativas a los licenciados, que se suman a las que realizan algunos colegios de médicos y academias MIR.
Desde aquí os animamos a participar de la especialidad más completa y hermosa, pese a las dificultades.
Premios Fundación Pfizer a la investigación durante la residencia
La Fundación Pfizer ha abierto el plazo para la presentación de candidaturas a la XIII Edición de los Premios de Investigación que, desde 1999, reconoce y apoya la excelencia de los trabajos realizados en investigación biomédica. El plazo para la presentación de trabajos finaliza el próximo 1 de abril.
Este año se ha creado una nueva categoría titulada ‘Investigación para profesionales sanitarios en fase de especialización’, que se añade a las ya existentes de ‘Investigación básica’ e ‘Investigación clínica o de salud pública’.
La dotación de los premios será de 14.000 euros en las categorías de Investigación Básica y Clínica/Salud Pública, y de 5.000 euros en la categoría de Investigación para profesionales sanitarios en fase de especialización.
